Updates

finished!

19th April 2015
Mum finished her marathon last Sunday. I spent the morning asleep in our B&B, with my phone switched on beside me, expecting a call to say she had dropped out, but none came! I was quite impressed actually. My initial response at the finishing line was "I'm glad to see you alive!" but she was alive and finished in 7 hours exactly. This wasn't quite the time we were aiming for but Mum has entered again for the marathon next year and is aiming to knock at least an hour and a half off of her time. She has raised a substantial amount so thank you for everyone who donated. I will put up a picture later

Mum is still doing her best!

8th March 2015
Training hasn’t been going to plan over the last few months, with bronchitis in December followed by 3 months of asthma, but Mum is finally off steroids, and is still plodding on!

day of memorial service

25th October 2014
Today is the day of the memorial service so I thought I ought to give you an update on Sarah's progress. She has been running for several months now and is capable of running fourteen miles. Noone pretends she's fast :D. She always finishes her run, however, and is able to run very long distances (albeit overtaken by old women in zimmerframes going up the hills!) I am going to be very strict with her diet and ensure she sticks to her regime of running three times a week. Updates will appear here. Finley Barry ( coach)
